Airfoil is looking for a User Experience Director to help us lead and interactive output for the agency. You’ve likely worked on progressive projects for high-caliber brands and are looking to shift to mid-market where your craft can have a significant impact. You are in the weeds more than you’re in the clouds. You have a broad perspective of the design process, are collaborative with teams and clients, and have worked from research through to interface design, engineering and testing. Your right brain brings us outside of the box, your left brain establishes operational efficiencies and design methodologies. You’ll have a daily dose of- * Designing meaningful, engaging interactive experiences using tools like Figma, Axure, XD, Invision, etc. * Taking direction from Design leadership as required, challenging, and charting new courses. * Fostering a collaborative environment * Meeting with clients and effectively guiding their decision making through engaging deliverables and business-minded solutions. * Interaction with engineers on agile adjustments through production * Contributing on pitches and estimates You’ve had plenty of experience with- * Designing complex web, mobile and experiential interactions relying on deeply rooted HUCD and UX principles and techniques * Absorbing strong design methodologies from agencies like IDEO, Google, Cooper and Frog * Running design studios, sprints or similar rapid ideation workshops with clients * A long list of UX, prototyping and design tools * The entire project life cycle, especially QA and measurement. You don’t check out after design * Communicating and incorporating research, analytics and ROI into the design process * Advising the C-Suite directly, succinctly articulating value on complex brand and experience engagements You bring- * 8+ years’ experience as an art director, ux designer, ux director or similar. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent Airfoil offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family.
