InterCloud is searching for **Senior Research Engineers** (F/M) to design and develop exciting new technologies that make their way into products and solutions of tomorrow. A dedicated team of creative engineering resources, **xLabs** are the InterCloud Office of the CTO’s engine for off-roadmap innovation. **xLabs** members gather their input from the whole ecosystem (academic research, open-source community, technology providers, trade conferences, research consultants, partners, customers and internal stakeholders) and identify and work upon the initial evaluation and proof of concept of promising ideas. Projects worked on at **xLabs** are exciting and exploratory. They are always focused on the outcome. Timescales are short, measured in days and weeks, not months or quarters. The result is not a fully-fledged product or design, but targets market requirements and, when sensible, a minimum viable product (MVP). Thus, members of the **xLabs** meet with customers and partners and have access to market intelligence. When successful, **xLabs** hands over their results to Products, Engineering, and Security to follow up on their assessment and decide how it fits within their roadmap. Even if the study reaches an operative impasse, it must advance InterCloud’s expertise by fueling the collective knowledge and bringing a better understanding of our ecosystem that can drive the vision of future products. **xLabs** keeps the dialogue open with partners and customers and work together with Tech Alliances and Marcom to increase InterCloud’s expertise notoriety. **This role is made for you if :** - You have a master’s or PhD degree in Engineering (any specialty) or Computer Science. - You have a significant experience in web-scale platform architecture and hands-on operations. - You have a significant experience with product development in Internet and Cloud Services. - You have a deep understanding of, and demonstrable experience in, designing, implementing, validating, and debugging fault-tolerant software in cloud deployments - You have knowledge of operational security of complex systems and networks - You are proficient in technical writing and drawing - You are passionate about the technology, ecosystem oriented - You enjoy engaging with a technical audience - You are the perfect mix of know-how and communication skills - You are able to convince with powers of persuasion - You are a team player at all levels of the organization - You are self-motivated and engaged, responsible and committed. **More informations :** This open position can be filled fully remote.
