DESCRIPTION:Duties: Design, implement and operationalize data platform capabilities using big data technologies. Design and implement event-driven components. Design and implement RESTful Microservices using languages and frameworks. Design and build re-usable data extract, transform and load components. Develop application packaging, CI and CD workflows. Support QA, UAT and production deployments and production support. Conduct application performance test and provide recommendations for performance improvements. Mentor associates and conduct design and code reviews. Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to understand the application, data needs, and requirements. Provide continuous status updates to management and the overall progress of the tasks. Code review and mentor associates.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's Degree in Applied Computer Science, Business Management, Computer Science and Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Development Manager, Technology Consultant, Interactive Developer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in lieu of the Master's degree and three (3) years of experience.Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Operationalizing data platform capabilities; Process large datasets using AWS Cloud tools such as AWS EMR or Glue; AWS tools experience such as EC2, IAM, Lambda, or SQS; Designing event-driven components using tools such as Kafka or Spring framework; Designing RESTful Microservices; Programming languages and frameworks such as Java, J2EE, Servlets, Hibernate, Spring Rest, JDBC, Springboot , JSON, XML, tomcat; Application packaging using tools such as Maven or Gradle; Data extract, transform, load and stage data using programming languages such as Python or Scala; Big data technology frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark SQL, Apache Spark streaming, or Apache Hadoop; Non-relational database experience such as HBASE, DynamoDB or Redshift; CI and CD experience using Jenkins; Performance test tools such as JMeter; Application and data security using SSO Authentication and Authorization techniques such as SAML, OAuth or OpenID.JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
