Manage deadlines and deliverables while applying the latest theories to develop new and improved products, processes, or technologies, while developing large-scale tests to validate the systems being developed and prototyped. Our research reaches the user through both services and products that touch billions of end users. We are looking to grow our team in the area of video analysis, creation, and synthesis. We are building on state-of-the-art research in computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence, HCI, and computer graphics. We are interested in exploring concepts from deep learning, time-series, and multimodal analysis, language models and interactivity to support the medium of video. The Perception team within Google Research focuses on research and development of systems to interpret and transform sensory data, and we collaborate with many of the product teams within Google. From creating experiments and prototyping implementations to designing new architectures, our software engineers work on real-world problems that span the breadth of computer science, such as machine (and deep) learning, data mining, natural language processing, hardware and software performance analysis, improving compilers for mobile platforms, as well as core search and much more. You'll actively contribute to the research, development and deployment of new ideas inspired by internal projects as well as collaborations with other researchers and product partners.
