In the last 1.5 years, we built a solid product, achieved product-market fit, and we will raise a seed round in 1-2 months (so yes, we will be venture-backed). We believe that our employees will one day go on to create their own companies, invest in real estate, and want to grow their wealth and achieve financial independence in their own right. *We are looking for:* * Plan, execute, and manage projects to ensure deliverables are met * Help your engineers grow their skills and experience while building a great team. * Run agile project management processes * Conduct code reviews, and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering features. * Hold regular 1:1's with all members of their team * Give regular and clear feedback around the individual's performance * Foster technical decision making on the team, but make final decisions when necessary * Generate and implement process improvements * Draft quarterly OKRs and Engineering KPIs * Improve product quality, security, and performance * Actively seek and hire globally-distributed talent * Conduct managerial interviews for candidates, and train the team to do technical interviews * Contribute to the sense of psychological safety on your team * May have more than one specialty on their team, per our shared manager team concept * Participate in the Incident Management on-call rotation to help ensure the availability goals for GitLab.com are - - met, by working with reliability engineers and development team member *Your Qualifications* * You have experience contributing to open source software * You have experience working with modern frontend frameworks (eg.
