The Senior Planning Analyst will be responsible for ensuring we accurately understand our demand forecast and are able to translate this into production schedules for each facility within our global network. They will work side by side with our regional operations teams to ensure plans are enacted on the ground, and collaborate with our software teams to develop tools to streamline our systems and processes. They will also be the owner of our Global Sales & Operational Planning process for farm hardware, ensuring that we deploy farming capacity in the right locations at the right times to support our exciting growth plans. **Responsibilities** Demand Forecasting * Develop a medium/long term demand forecasting tool as a centralized resource where volume information going forward for c. 12 months can be located, by hub, customer, variety and packaging format. * Establish regular update processes for new contract information, seasonal promotions and other expected demand changes to be included within this well in advance of requirements, together with Commercial and Strategy teams. * Create processes for this information to flow seamlessly into other SCM departments * Set up forecast accuracy metrics to identify areas where improvements are required Planting Schedules * Collaborate with our software team to develop tools that translate these demand forecasts into planting schedules for our production facilities. * Continuously improve features and functionality within these tools to ensure this can be carried out in a simple, robust and repeatable manner. * Support with the launch of new production sites and their addition to these tools, actively running the scheduling process on their behalf as these launch. * Create training materials to enable the handover of planning responsibilities to regional teams, and build support mechanisms and forums for regional and hub managers to assist with ongoing troubleshooting and development. Farming Capacity S&OP Process * Manage farming capacity S&OP forums at global and regional (Europe, NA, Asia). Own the review process between Commercial, Expansion, Strategy and Operations teams to understand the demand vs capacity picture for farming hardware, and drive decision making on stockholding locations and new order requirements. * Work closely with other SCM teams to ensure procurement activities and inventory management for farming hardware supports the plans agreed in the above.. * Provide capacity planning analysis for proposed network change projects or new customer launches. Metrics Management * Monitor SO fulfilment and wastage %’s for each site through established metrics performance management process, assisting with root cause analysis and devising action plans with relevant regional teams to rectify. * Develop a ‘regional utilization %’ metric to measure and manage how effectively we are using our network capacity. **Requirements** * Strong Excel based analytical capability * 6+ years of work experience, ideally within operations or supply chain * Experience in creating presentations to clearly explain complex concepts * Degree level (or equivalent) qualifications in an analytical discipline (ie.
