### Job description Unrivaled is looking for an experienced designer to join our team in our Ogden, Utah location – the outdoor recreation mecca. This is the place to be if climbing, hiking, kayaking, and skiing is up your alley. You will be working with a team of designers and developers to create experiences and tell immersive stories within museum environments. We’re looking for a designer that could come from a number of different backgrounds: architecture, experiential design, environmental design, museum exhibition design, etc. What matters is that you are an established designer with 5+ years of exhibit or similar design experience that can bring your talent as both a creative and project lead to our growing team. As an Experiential Exhibit Designer you will own the successful delivery on all assigned projects — this includes creative development, design documentation, and project coordination throughout the project lifecycle, which spans from the early conceptual design stages on through to their installation. You will work closely with those on the design team as well as collaborate with our extended team of project managers, writers, developers, engineers, and fabricators. This role is focused on the conceptual design of museum environments and exhibits using a combination of 2D and 3D design software. Your primary responsibility will be to develop exceptional creative ideas while maintaining a pragmatic view towards concept feasibility and fabrication. You must be cognitive of both the form and the function of your designs and should be versed in production and fabrication methods, material traits, and ADA and local code regulations that will affect the final outcome of these designs. Other responsibilities include the execution of the exploratory design phase, developing conceptual designs, preparing presentations and pitching to clients, design development and refinement, specifying materials and finishes, and supporting the build-out of user experiences and interactives. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, highly creative, reliable, personable with great communication skills, and loves to get hands-on with their projects. We’re looking for inventors and makers that love the DIY spirit and take every opportunity to stay involved with their designs to the end. To succeed here you should thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, have an aptitude and interest in technology, and balance creative thinking with a strong and sophisticated design aesthetic. About Us Unrivaled is a family of creatives + craftsmen with an insatiable desire to outdo ourselves. We’re like the Brady Bunch fueled by sibling rivalry and the nootropic powers of blood, sweat, and tears. We believe in working hard. We believe in playing hard. We believe they should be one-and-the-same. Designing, creating, building, and insulting each other’s mothers is what we love–doing it as Unrivaled is icing.
