DESCRIPTION:Duties: Apply, utilize, and create business and logical data models and modeling methods to support software products and applications designed for use in the financial services industry. Interview, research, analyze, and derive business, functional, and technical requirements for various financial industry based IT products. Design data extraction processes, database models, and E2E database feeds. Develop an in-depth understanding of the products and underlying data assets, models, and methods. Coordinate data strategy and data platform evolution. Create product roadmaps for multi- year projects. Define the solution concept design for custom solutions leveraging platform components, reusable modules, and existing product capabilities. Clarify and translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and collaborate in the software development process. Drive the user experience needs for products. Lead the design and testing phases for products including for prototypes. Coach a team in Agile practices. Sign-off on acceptance test results to ensure design integrity. Manage data for management information system ("MIS") applications as well as multiple IT products in the financial services industry. Work with the appropriate teams to deliver required documentation and training materials for products. Assist with product implementations. Showcase and identify applicable ideas in the innovation and emerging business pipeline. Create business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations, and systems interoperate. Analyze opportunities for process improvement, system enhancement, user training, and software procurement. Conduct impact assessments to determine appropriate project resourcing and timing. Identify and implement mitigation strategies for risks. Track project budgets and produce status reports including variances arising within the budgets. Track project schedules and produce relevant status reports for the same.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as ETL Technical Lead/Data Modeler, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
