About Hyperquery If you’re excited by the technical and business challenges of building a category-defining analytics company, you’ll fit right in at Hyperquery. Hyperquery is a collaborative doc workspace for analysts. Hyperquery combines the best of Snowflake, Notion, and Tableau into one fluid workspace so data professionals can explore, share, and collaborate over SQL-based analytics work in a single, well-organized space. The founding team cut their teeth as technical leads at Airbnb, Bird, QuantCo, Wayfair, Brain Corp. We’re well-funded and backed by marquee investors that have backed companies like Facebook, Twitter, Slack, Stripe, and HYBE. 5 Reasons to Join Hyperquery: 1. 🚀 You will help build a category-defining product. Figma redefined the workspace for product designers. We want to redefine the same for data analysts and solve their most cumbersome workflow challenges. 2. 👩‍💻 You will work with founders and talented coworkers who’ve built valuable enterprises and killer technical teams before at Airbnb, Bird, Wayfair, & QuantCo. 3. 🏛 We are backed by the best. Our investors have previously backed hits such as Facebook, Twitter, Slack, Stripe, and HYBE (the parent company behind the global K-pop sensation BTS). 4. 🤔 You will tackle interesting technical and go-to-market challenges that keep you sharp and on your toes. Come ready to fire up on all cylinders. 5. 🧘‍♀️ You will have the flexibility to work hard and live your best life. We are 100% remote, asynchronous, and results-oriented. Our team members hike, paint, surf, and raise children, but we also execute incredibly fast. What you’ll do * Partner closely with design peers, product, and engineering to build an intuitive, delightful, and beautiful product. * Execute end-to-end design from discovery to final production while addressing both user needs and business needs. * Run a wide range of product design projects with varying scope to balance vision and execution speed. * Drive excellence for our product shape and experience. * Contribute to design strategy and direction discussions with leadership. * Help grow our design process. What we’re looking for * You have 3+ years of industry experience as a Product Designer or equivalent role(s). * You’re a domain expert with outstanding design skills with attention to detail, a strong visual sense and a passion for the craft. * You’re able to untangle difficult, vague business problems and quickly come up with sharp solutions that maximize usability. * You have proven experiences independently running design projects. * You’re able to partner with engineering to trade off pixel-perfect and 80/20 work according to business needs. * You’re a self-starter. You have strong self-awareness to figure out what you know, what you don’t know, and what you need to do to close these gaps when needed. * You’re able to clearly articulate design rationale. * You’re skilled at both giving and receiving feedback. * Experience building or maintaining design systems. * Fluency in Figma. * Strong written and spoken communication skills (English). Bonus points * You love to stay up to date with the latest design trends and best practices and you have a passion for educating the team on - design. * You’re able to cut through the noise and promote our design voice through social media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Medium, etc. * Basic understanding of frontend (HTML, CSS, typescript, react) - no coding required, but you’ll be working closely with engineers. * Experience in writing SQL and doing data analysis.
