30 – 37.5 hours / week The Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG is one of the world's leading training academies for capacity building in the field of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency. RENAC´s mission is to support the development of Green Energy technologies through training and networking. RENAC offers online and in-person trainings in Germany and abroad, sets up local training structures, implements study courses in cooperation with universities and organizes numerous events as part of the Energy Solutions Initiative. Since its start in 2008, RENAC has trained and educated more than 21,000 participants from over 160 countries. The head office is located in the heart of Berlin with an international team of currently 53 permanent employees. Target groups of RENAC´s training courses derive from the public, private, finance and training sectors and the training content is tailored to the specific backgrounds of participants. To support our internal and external communications, RENAC is creating a new position for a cross-divisional English-language Technical Writer and Copy Editor in the Marketing Department in Berlin on a full or part-time basis. With an editorial or journalistic background or experience in content development, you can make even complex processes and technologies easy to understand and exciting to experience. You enjoy learning about different new topics and working in a practical oriented environment where the diverse tasks revolve around renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency in terms of content. **Your tasks:** * Writing, editing and reviewing content of mailings, catalogues, websites, press releases, and the course materials (for online and in-person trainings) according to agreed style. * Writing, editing and publishing web content on the RENAC website using a content management system and ensuring they meet channel-specific requirements such as SEO. * Reviewing and amending work in response to editor feedback. * Meeting with colleagues, authors, experts and other writers to plan the content of a document or publication. **Your profile:** * University degree, preferably a technical-scientific or media-scientific degree. * You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. * You are a decisive, prudent, detail-oriented, analytical and impartial mind. * You are well organised and have the ability to prioritise and follow guidelines while working independently. * You have the ability to work efficiently and cooperatively as a team member and to meet deadlines for the completion of work. **What we offer:** * Participation in the global sustainable energy transition movement * A friendly, flexible and cooperative working environment * Working with an international team in the fields of renewable energy technologies, green finance and energy efficiency The position will be offered for up to two years; a continuation is envisaged.
