About the role Curebase is seeking a Vice President of People who will thrive in a quickly scaling healthcare technology environment. The People department at Curebase is deeply cross-functional, and you will work with nearly every department at the company to oversee all people-related tasks, initiatives, and develop and execute our people strategy and HR policies. This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with senior company leaders including the Director of Talent, Chief of Staff and the COO. This role is a people management position and operations are 100% remote. What you’ll do * Serve as a strategic and operational department head who oversees all people-related functions (including People Operations and Talent) * Develop and execute our people strategy, including organizational development, employee relations, HR policies, compensation, and benefits design * Serve as the ultimate point of accountability to ensure we are in compliance with all HR regulations for every region where our workplace lives, including dozens of U.S. states and over 13 countries * Provide high-level ownership of implementing the Cureabse culture and drive a cohesive remote workplace committed to our mission and values * Partner with other stakeholders such as the Director of Talent and hiring managers to build an employer brand and excellent external presence * Embrace remote and hybrid work and define our future working environment as a world-class distributed organization * Create, refine, and implement our DEIB strategy * Partner with Director of Talent and hiring managers to define and maintain compensation policies and manage pay and equity bands to create sustainable, equitable career ladders * Grow the People Operations function and create an outstanding HR team * Develop a strategy for managing a compliant global workforce across many continents and time zones * Refine the performance review process and suggest improvements * Create and implement a world class learning and development program * Work in close partnership with the Director of Talent on our talent acquisition objectives * Mentor many members of our company, including the Director of Talent, HR teammates, and hiring managers on world-class HR and People Operations best practices * Support and develop managers, equipping them with standardized frameworks like standard career development ladders for internal promotion and training programs to better enable leadership development * Establish employee engagement strategies to create opportunities for growth and development at every level of the organization * Monitor and track team member engagement through pulse surveys, developing ways to increase scores if necessary * Offer oversight for planning and organizing the company’s internal events and social calendar (off-sites, team building events, lunch ‘n learns, holiday party, etc.) * Provide proactive employee relations to employees at all levels of the organization from C-suite to independent contractors, including acting as a trusted HR advisor to management in order to build and maintain a high-performing and engaged team * Establish and own responsibility for all HR operation KPIs About you * 10+ years of progressive HR or PeopleOps professional experience * 5+ years directly managing reports * Venture backed, high-growth company experience * Experience interacting and presenting to a Board of Executives, Investors, etc. * Demonstrated success with driving employee engagement and culture * Demonstrated experience developing and implementing best practices and processes that can scale in a complex, high growth organization * Deep knowledge of and experience in local (US) and international employment law, compensation, organizational development, employee relations, DEI, and training and development * Experience managing equity, compensation, and HR procedures * A successful history of policy and program development (L&D, handbook, etc) * Excellent communication skills with a high level of EQ * Experience managing global, remote teams is required * Experience working with a global workforce * Data-driven decision maker * Working knowledge of Google Suite, Slack, etc. Major pluses * Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration and modern HR softwares (Humi, Lattice, Lever, payscale etc) * Appearances in thought leadership activities such as webinars, podcasts, and conferences and other HR related media * Interest and passion for healthcare and clinical research * Strong bias to action and attention to detail * Certification from HR-centric entity (i.e. SHRM)
