**COMPANY DESCRIPTION** Swayable is a fast-growing, cloud data product that predicts public opinion and the impact of messages and advertising content on it. It is a 20-person team backed by top technology and social impact investors, including Y Combinator. Founded in 2018 by two physics PhDs, it is led by the former Executive Director for Digital Strategy at the New York Times. Clients include major consumer-facing brands (e.g. Amazon, Square, Paramount Pictures), researchers (e.g. MIT, Yale, Stanford), mission-aligned advocacy campaigns (e.g. Democratic Presidential candidates including Biden-Harris 2020), and governments (e.g. state authorities fighting COVID). The technology we develop is at the leading edge of transforming some of the world’s most important campaign organizations and enterprises: combatting disinformation, protecting democracy, and supporting the sustainable growth of consumer-facing brands. **ROLE** We are looking for an over-achieving, strategically minded Director of Sales and Partnerships to do two things: (1) find and close leads with big organizations, and (2) establish our sales playbook, refining the GTM strategy and helping set up scalable sales processes. The ideal candidate will know sales well, have worked in a successful fast-growing startup environment, and have strong strategic management capabilities, intellectual curiosity and demonstrable interest in what we're doing. **RESPONSIBILITIES** • Build partnerships and relationships with key clients • Evangelize the product and personally close deals across all sizes ranging from $10K to $1M+ • Set up successful, efficient sales processes so we develop, track and move leads down the funnel to conversion • Develop plans and strategies to achieve the team’s revenue goals • Hire and manage new account executives •Prepare forecasts and OKRs reporting for use in organizational planning • Land and expand: build process and funnel for manual top-down out-reach, onboarding, activation, and expansion • Work collaboratively with the CEO, product and client success teams to continually improve the full customer journey • Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet sales objectives • Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development **ABOUT YOU** • Interested in science, brand marketing and progressive social change • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity, structuring problem-solving, workplanning, and creating order and process. Consulting experience is a plus. • Strong management capabilities • Described by others as highly intelligent, strategically minded, with a strong bias towards action • Great with clients, fun, easy going and zero-drama **QUALIFICATIONS** • Proven ability to find and close deals • 4-7 years of relevant sales experience including management of SDR and AE functions and a track record of exceeding quota (relevant = research or data tools for marketing or public opinion research.) • Experience in a successful, high-growth startup environment • Strong knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams • Strength in business problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to workplan and set and meet deadlines reliably, attention to detail, ability to multitask • Very strong communications skills, including written, verbal and decks • Strong leadership and team building skills • Experience working with brand marketers and/or agencies is a plus • Experience volunteering or working on progressive political or issue campaigns is a plus **BENEFITS** • Full-time, salaried position • Substantial stock options consistent with being an early team member • Uncapped commission and bonus plan with significant upside • Full healthcare coverage with no employee contribution required • Opportunity to work to support some of the most important storytelling and social change in the world • Opportunity to work directly with the founders of a fast-growing, successful YC company • $220,000 to $300,000 total comp at plan, 50% of which is base and the rest is an uncapped commission If this sounds like you, please apply here with your CV and a brief note explaining why you’re interested and think you’d be a good fit. **LOCATION** New York City.
