### Job description As a Principal UX Product Designer at HP you will be responsible for the creation, development and refinement of innovative, world-changing experiences as a key member of our global multidisciplinary design team. We are looking for an experienced detail-obsessed designer who will push boundaries and solve complex problems beautifully. Your work will raise the UX bar across multiple platforms and help define the physical-digital experiences for one of the most iconic brands in the world. You will be an advocate for end-users and a strong partner with our product and engineering teams. You will lead internal design initiatives in developing compelling solutions and well-crafted designs that feel effortless to use, driving engagement and loyalty across our portfolio. We are a team of designers, strategists, engineers, product managers, and researchers focused on building cutting-edge products that help shape the future. HP’s Product Design is seeking a Principal Product Designer to join the team. This role supports the consumer PC business, leading our effort in building world class experiences. This position is fast-paced and hands-on. You will lead the end-to-end experience of the design and interfaces with various cross-functional partners – product managers, engineers, marketers, data scientists, and end-users about their needs and effectively manage the entire creative process. Who you are You have 10+ years of professional experience in product design, interaction design or visual design Have highly developed expert design hard skills and can demonstrate your skill set in your portfolio of recent work Show proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, and Photoshop Proficiency with contemporary design, prototyping tools, and methods Confident presentation and storytelling abilities Passion for mentoring young designers Have a passion for creating products that meet people's functional and emotional needs Have experience in working in a product team and have launched consumer products What you’ll do Bridge the gap between user research insights and product needs Help to translate business requirements into user stories Make sense of complex interactions or system and content, and represent them in simplified end-to-end flows Create frameworks such as user journeys, flow diagrams, or ecosystem maps Create concepts that represent depth in the craft or interaction and visual design Design low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes Refine design solutions into meaningful narratives that speak to business opportunities and technical feasibility, and user behaviors Has a critical eyes in design details, interaction patterns, and visual system Collaborate fluidly with cross-functional partners – product managers, marketing creatives, and developers Work hard while living HP’s values of inclusion, risk-taking and customer focus ** Please include a link to your online portfolio URL when you apply to be considered** Locations include Palo Alto CA and Spring TX.
