CNCF serves as the vendor-neutral home for many of the fastest-growing projects on GitHub, including Kubernetes, Prometheus and Envoy, fostering collaboration between the industry’s top developers, end users, and vendors. CNCF is hiring an Ecosystem Program Lead to run its end user program which is the largest end user ecosystem enjoyed by any open source foundation. For more information about the program and its constituents, please see [our website]( Responsibilities: 2. Grow CNCF end user memberships 2. Become a trusted resource: Engage with end users and develop an understanding of their business needs in order to advise members on the latest industry trends in cloud native computing 4. Reimagine the CNCF end user membership program: Utilize your engagement with end users and technical knowledge to build the most relevant programs and create a value-rich experience for the ecosystem 6. Expand to multiple verticals: Provide compelling benefits to organizations in multiple industry verticals 4. Increase engagement with end user members 2. Kickstart verticalized technical efforts: Develop a tighter feedback loop between CNCF projects and the ecosystem by building out Special Interest Groups for different tech and industry verticals in the end user community 4. Enable end user business needs: Support end users in utilizing available marketing benefits to build their technology and hiring brand 6. Increase event participation: Bring end users to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon in droves! 6. Develop CNCF’s position as the premiere end user driven open source foundation 2. Expand research: Develop new and iterate on existing end user driven research currently in production such as [tech radars]( 4. Support end user PR: Ensure end user themes are consistently appearing in the press in partnership with the PR team 6. Build a thought leadership platform: Drive content and thought leadership from an end user perspective and connecting it to CNCF with support from the marketing team 8. Partner successfully with End User Ops, Business Development, Marketing, and Projects teams to achieve success. They are here to help you lead and execute! Requirements: 2. Experience in Cloud Native: You are a member of the cloud native community and understand its projects, culture, and ethos. You have been involved with one or more CNCF projects and have a network within the community. 2+ year experience in the community desired 4. Knowledge of the end user ecosystem: You have empathy for the end user practitioner experience by either having worked at an end user company or worked with people at end user companies 6. Program building skills: You have experience crafting programs in the CNCF community leveraging either contributors, end users, staff, ambassadors, or members 8. Presentation skills: You love engaging audiences with the cloud native story whether that be in 1:1 conversations in-person or online or representing CNCF on the stage at conferences 10. Tooling and iteration experience: You have a working knowledge of GitHub, Google Suite, and Slack. You are comfortable with the philosophy of constant iteration and can build a process to constantly evaluate and iterate on inflight programs 12. Ability to keep a flexible schedule: CNCF staff and the community are spread across 187 countries. There are end users everywhere! This position requires you to be willing to adjust schedules to collaborate with people when necessary. A big chunk of the team is present in the US with some representation from the EU. We also have an APAC team that helps engage with the end user community there 14. Ability to travel: Able to travel, including internationally, several times a year to staff and attend events 16.
