TeamSnap is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security team. This role will directly report to [Trey Tacon](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lee-tacon/) with cross functional stakeholders across the company. **What you’ll be doing:** As a strong security engineer (duh) you’ll ensure that TeamSnap’s users and employees are safe from malicious activity and accidental disclosure. We build the systems and tools that enable the rest of TeamSnap to develop secure software easily. We're focused on secure-by-default frameworks, least privilege access, detection and alerting, and eliminating bug classes. **What’ll set you up for success:** * Strong experience working with security tooling and platforms (e.g. SIEMs, IDSs, SASTs, etc) * Solid experience with common security attacks and vulnerabilities and how to address them (OWASP Top 10) * Experience identifying and addressing vulnerabilities * Experience with Go or Ruby as languages to write internal tools. * Experience with Git, GitHub, and good version control practices * Ability to work as part of a geographically-distributed development team * Flexibility, collaborative, sense of humor and the willingness to do what's necessary to help a relatively small company grow quickly **Bonus points:** * Experience with Terraform, Google Cloud and DataDog * Experience with automated build tools such as Jenkins. * Experience in interfacing with API’s and third party libraries, including JSON REST API’s (take a look at [https://developer.teamsnap.com...](https://developer.teamsnap.com)</li><li>Be) a parent, coach or participant in a recreational sport * Be a TeamSnap user (sign up for a free trial to see what we’re about) * Ability to talk to animals, Doctor Doolittle-style Got cold feet? While we love all parts of the world, we can only hire permanent US residents at this time. **Compensation** We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The salary for this role starts at a minimum of $125,000 plus bonus and benefits.
