Works closely with our business and solution delivery partners, translating business requirements, modern technology, and user needs into a meaningful design and customer solutions Accountability and Responsibilities: -Participate in cross functional teams as expert on Aesthetics, Product Message and Visual Brand Distinction -Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications -Visualize new design solutions and develop decision material to present to stakeholders -Research and analyze input from related trends (e.g. Competitive set, General automotive, Culture, Human behavior, technology, design, etc.). considering the following perspectives: -Business Efficiency and Brand platform -Environmental and Economical Drive -Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually -Secure the correct visual quality of the output from the Volvo Group Design Process in due time -Iterative prototyping for user and stakeholder feedback Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: -Minimum BA/BFA degree required; Master’s degree preferred -Minimum 3-5 years of documented experience in the design field, experience from automotive industry a merit -Documented digital user experience -Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photo Shop, Illustrator, Visio, and -Dreamweaver. QT experience is highly prioritized -Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash and CSS -Ability to prototype concepts and interpret user feedback -Basic knowledge in 3D tools i.e. Alias -Outstanding visual presentation skills -Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Suite, OmniGraffle, jQuery, -Knowledge of web-based technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including the capabilities and limitations of Web technologies Flash, DHTML, CSS, and various other technologies a plus.
