### Job description Currently seeking a highly talented and creative individual to join our team as a Product Designer focused on outdoor site furniture and lighting product development. As a member of our diverse in-house team you will report to the Design+Development Manager in Pittsburgh PA and work with our engineers to conceptualize, detail, prototype, and eventually deliver fully realized products for market. Experimentation and collaboration are essential to our development process, as a designer focusing on our outdoor product market segment, your mission will be to design innovative products that allow Landscape Designers and Architects re-imagine public space. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, skilled communicator and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while bringing a positive energy to a team. This opportunity will require frequent travel across different F+S facilities, architectural offices and working with a cross-departmental team of dedicated professionals who share the company’s passion for designing and manufacturing products that enhance life in public spaces throughout the world. Position requirements: -Industrial Design Degree Preferred. -3-5 years relevant work experience. -Must have CAD and digital skills; SolidWorks, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite. Rhino/Grasshopper a plus. -Diverse portfolio of work with attention to detail, and innovation, highlighting process and problem-solving. -Compelling interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement. -Must have the skill and ability to rapidly move through sketch concept exploration and iterative process. -Experience developing conceptual designs into presentations and drawings. -Ability to communicate & maintain design intent to a cross-functional team from concept to completion. -Positive attitude with an emphasis on self-motivation and personal growth. -Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize workload as needed. -Maintaining organization of project sketches, drawings, consultant information, and milestones. -Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. -An eye for details and the ability to understand the greater context will be a critical skill for success. -Needs to be hands on and comfortable in the prototyping shop creating models and sketch prototypes. -Insistence on high quality work with great focus on detail.
